Fun with Katakana!

I visited some websites detailing interesting Katakana words and phrases! Here are some of my favorites :)


While it was actually a little hard to find phrases in Katakana, as most of them were in Hiragana and Kanji, I did manage to find a few that I thought were interesting!

Some of the best of course refer to food and desserts!

ョコレート       -        Chocolate
ポテト          -        Potato
サンドイッチ    -        Sandwich

To name a few

Others are more random phrases.
グッジョブ       -        good job
ドンマイ          -         don’t mind, said usually used after someone else apologizes

And possibly my favorite, stolen straight from the show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

My Daily Fight Against Exhaustion

おはよう ございます！

Welcome to a day in the life of Chris Toudouze! It's かようび, so at ごじ I おきます so I can arrive at work at ごじん。For the next さん hours I'm at work, and can use the time to べんきょうそしてしゅくだい。After work, I go to class from くじ until にほんご class ends at さんじ。Because of my class schedule, I don't get to ひるごはんたべます。Thus, I just ばんごはんたべます at around そじはん. Finally, I go back to my room to にほんごをべんきょand finish other work. Then, I　しょわをあびますそしてわます。

First interests

はじめまして。テデュースです。どおぞよろしく。わたしわあめりかんです。にねんせです。せんこわかいけいがくです。

While I am not extremely well versed in many anime, I have watched a couple thus far. My personal favorite would have to be Code Geass. Between the art style, storyline, and voice actors (I would only watch Subs, never dubs :) ), I fell in love with it and plan to watch more by its creators and studio. Sadly, not many people really feel like binging a few episodes with me, but perhaps that will change soon with some new friends!
