Hello!
My name is Chris Toudouze, and I'm a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame. I've decided to take the Japanese language, after a long period of putting it off. Ever since I was young, I always had an interest in other languages, but many small but constant problems got in the way. During high school, I took Latin, but it wasn't exactly a language one speaks constantly, and I was nowhere near fluent. My attraction to Japanese culture stems from many different sources. I'm as much a fan of anime as anyone else, but I also enjoy Japanese cuisine, music, and learning about the rich history of the island. I do want to become fluent, and I know it will take a long time, but I am determined to get there eventually, with the help of the many new friends I make along the way!
This first weekend is when I'm really going to have to buckle down and get a system going forward. I...am excited and determined, but I do worry about the difficulty. Either way, I'll do my very best.
